Sex Therapy

Let’s talk about sex. Sex therapy is the opportunity to discuss the multitude of ways you erotically and intimately connect with yourself and other people. This can look so different for everyone, that’s the beauty of it! Maybe you’re having difficulty achieving or maintaining arousal, or you notice pain or guilt around or during sex. Perhaps you’re curious about exploring different positions, toys, or people. You could be struggling with sexuality or gender identity, or maybe you have a lot of sexual experience, and you feel isolated or shamed as a result. Simply put, sex therapy is a change to openly discuss sex and sexuality in a non-judgmental space. I work with clients to discover the ways to positively incorporate joy, playfulness, and pleasure into your life.

Individual Therapy

Together, we’ll explore what is causing distress in your life and how to cultivate awareness and build resilience. Anxiety, loneliness, depression, and trauma are some of the concerns we may address, and I also make space to talk about what’s already working, and what makes you feel alive. We’ll look at expanding your community, highlight your strengths, and support overall healing. Part of our work together will include looking at identity and how who we are, affects our relationships and how we experience the world. I specialize in working with oppressed and marginalized people, acknowledging the complexity of our intersectional lives and identities.

Relationship and Couples Therapy

Relationships are the most primal and human way we connect to others and ourselves. We learn so much about who we are through our relationships. Sometimes relationships become strained, confusing, or heartbreaking. I work with intimate relationships to look at the strengths and needs of each person in the relationship. Our work will look at how to broaden communication, access compassion, establish boundaries, and deepen the capacity for respect.

Family Therapy

Sometimes, we tend to accept the roles we have in our family. Whether they’re explicitly outlined, or more adaptive based on need or survival, you may feel stuck, voiceless, or unsafe in your family community. In family therapy, I provide a space for you all to feel heard, validated, and supported. Family therapy is great for parents and children, siblings, extended, and chosen families. We’ll investigate boundary setting and celebrate connection.

Trainings and Consultations

I offer trainings on how to navigate talking about identity both between client and clinician, and between clinicians at an organizational level. If you are finding it difficult to incorporate and normalize these important conversations in your work, please reach out.
